About ACP Para Mi

Today, having broadband access is linked to our health, our well being, and our economic security. This is especially true for the Latino community, Black and Indigenous communities of color, as well as rural and low income households or families who are experiencing economic hardship because of Covid19 and who face compounding obstacles to establishing and sustaining a reliable at home broadband connection.

Having access to the internet allows students to continue to learn, parents the option to pursue remote employment options, and it allows all of us to learn new skills to remain competitive in today’s job market.

ACP Para Mi is a nationwide partnership of local and national Latino organizations and Latino/a/x leaders who believe that access to the internet is fundamental to improving the health and economic wellbeing of the Latino community.

About the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)

In an effort to make at home broadband more affordable for low resourced communities Congress established the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) to qualifying low-income households. If your household is eligible, you can receive:

  • Up to a $30/month discount on your broadband service and associated equipment rentals

  • Up to a $75/month discount if your household is on qualifying Tribal lands

  • A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (with a co-payment of more than $10 but less than $50)

Only one monthly service discount and one device discount is allowed per household.

To deliver maximum cost savings to families, the Biden-Harris Administration has secured commitments from 20 leading internet providers to offer ACP-eligible households a high-speed internet plan for no more than $30 per month. Eligible families who pair their ACP benefit with one of these plans can receive high-speed internet at no cost.

ACP brings the power of the internet to Latino families for little or no cost.

“The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) creates a pathway towards digital opportunity, and connects Latino families to the tools necessary to succeed in today’s digital economy.”

— Alejandro Roark, Former Executive Director, HTTP/
